Extravagant Ones:
As we configure, re-configure and then re-re-configure the events of Extravaganza 2008, a bit of diversionary humor is appropriate. Two years ago, two (male) members of Infamous Group One (who shall remain nameless but, if asked, I would tell you that they are my two 1964 SRHS co-graduates, Brad "Pinko" Colton and his sidekick Rich "Squawfish/Pink Panther" Kotoff!) set Extravaganza history by fishing with their guide, Matt, in shocking pink hats. Suffice it to say that this was more than a causal culture shock for the otherwise short-haired cowboy hat doffed farmers of blue state Montana, so much so that the following year the GH discontinued the sale of its pink hats.
Well, guess what, as per the attached (correct) photo, the pink hats are back and, in addition to the two pink 49er hats that I gave to these two (unnamed) Extravaganza veterans, the two shown in the photo are set aside for your (very optional) purchase upon your arrival here on Friday.
Ah, the shameful indignity of it all...and what will they be saying on the Mo after seeing such a aberrant spectacle?!?
