Announcing the Line Up For and Arrival Of Group Four!!

For the first (and last--what havoc this played all year!) time ever, Group Four arrives today ahead of Group Three [imagine counting ...one...two...th, er, no four...three all year long as, with the day in the week on which the Fourth of July falls this year, the Fraternal Order of Group Four would not stand for its renaming to (aghast) "Group Three"] and right on time for "bonus fishing" as just this weekend, after being terrorized by the now outlandish gang of Group Ta Two Extravaganza's local rivers are (blessedly) in their prime time fishing condition.

Anxious to arrive the Fraternal Fours are as,(a) right on schedule, "Down River Dave" Studeman and his wonderful bride Lynn "Turn 'Em" Turnbull arrived a day early to "tune up" with head guide and outfitter Drew Miller today and (b) surprisingly (mostly so to themselves) the driving trio of (i) banker Scott "Two" McAdams, (ii) Ron "The Bee" Beeler and (iii) Don "Thumper" Valdez also arrived a day early, but, in their case, they took a page out of the mooning book of now retired (for the second time, I might add) banker Larry "Moon River" Klaustermeier and showed up at the GH right on time around at 1:00 p.m. but, just as Moon River did last year, a day early because they thought that that was their Group Four tee off day.  Ah, bankers...can't live with 'em; can't seem to live without them!!  On that bank deposit note, hogging his way in today, just as did Group Two's Rob "Yellow Hat" Cooper, is banker Michael "Alphabet" Besselievre [try spelling that name three times in a quick row!] and more sedate Delta inbound banker Peter Pelham.  Once again, the great folks with Bank of Marin get to dance with the early arrivals from The Mechanics Bank--and the horse*&^% pit is warmed up with The Bee (my partner Scott's father-in-law) now designated to serve as the (impartial) judge for the annual Group Four Horse&*^%$ Contest!

The mostly Bay Area Fours will be joined this year by rookies Carl "The Santa Barbarian" Payatt and, incoming from (yes, folks, really) Dubai is Jeanne "Abu Dabu Dabu Du" Montague and her AIA husband Chad "Me Abu Dabu Too" Overway.  Local rookies Jeff "The Brick" McNear and his partner Jill "Spice Girl" Spicer will be joining them as well, along with Paul "Sign of the Four" Crowley, his beautiful bride Christine "The Cast" and now three time veteran realtor Peter "The Carib" Narodny and his wonderful son "Alex The Pike".

Intentionally saving the worst of the Fours for last, this Fraternal Order again will be headlined (and mooned) by six time returnee Larry "Moon River" Klaustermeier and, this year in order to protect what little is left of his family's integrity, his body (if that is an appropriate description) guard bride of decades "Ann The RN" and beautiful daughter.  It seems that last year while playing (at) horseshoes in front of the Fours (what was then and is now again our largest group), "Moon River" didn't like the point tally (because it was accurate) so he bent over and quickly stunned the assembled Fours by mooning them in all of his (limited) glory, hence forever doffing him with his moniker.  Not to be undone, Larry also emailed Extravaganza Headquarters earlier in the year proudly (?!?) announcing that, après fishing, he "hoped to double up" at The Rhino (our post fishing [seedy] bar rendezvous), but would be careful of the (multiple) piercing of his intended prey.  Come to think of it, now at the mid-point of Extravaganza 2008, Group One is starting and seemingly to even be sane.

Special Fraternal Guest stars, as always, will be Kocktail Kathy's twin sister Julie (I had great joy introducing identical twin "Julie The Jewel" as Kathy when the Fours arrived at MSO last year) and her sidekick relations "Barbie The Doll" and with that the chaos of Extravaganza 2008 continues in legendary form--in fact, to date, the 2008 flowing of alcoholic consumption of the Ones and Twos has kept up with that of our accompanying (and now fishable) rivers!

Welcome Fraternal Fours, we can't wait for your laughter, ribaldry and horse#$%^.

Best to all from the scene of it all,

Rock Creek Ron
