Announcing the Line Up for Group Two
Winging their way (except for "Rob The Hog" Cooper, who is hogging his hog this way) are the Illustrious Twos of Group Two—a veteran laced group of fisherfolk who will be greeted as soon as they hit the GH for licensing by the bright lights of the six (count 'em) International Wildlife Film Festival summer camp fill makers who will follow their every step and cast for the next five days.
Headlining this cast of stars and starlets are Walsh Vineyard Management principals Tim "Squawfish" Rodgers and his beautiful bride "Shanna Banana", who, as Group Two tradition now dictates, will be shadowed by the simply irrastable veteran Napa Valley Pre School guru Lori "The Fawn" Ware. Joining in the fray is my long time (as in three decades long) lawyer sidekick Ladd "The Bull" Bedford and his wonderful partner Kristine "Yellow Hat" Bedford. Missing in action this year, however, will be five-time veteran Doug "Popeye" Hamilton, who will reluctantly and unfortunately miss his first Extravaganza ever, involuntarily opting to have is own personal casting of "Romancing The [Kidney] Stone". Substituting in his place (if that is even every possible, that is) is Extravaganza veteran Ken "Stick 'Em" Snider, who, two years ago, within twenty minutes landed not only a 24" bull trout but also a 23" rainbow on the Blackfoot River, this year at his side, however, rather than a crusty spinach can toting miscreant, will be his wife Patty who had better have her game day hat on as she joins this wonderful group of Twos!
That's not all, folks, as this star-studded group of Twos also includes long time veteran real estate investor Dave "Two Pump" Currie and his rookie partner David "Two Bottle" Nelson as well as long-time veteran Napa Valley high-end builder Mark "The Blade" Grassi, who this year, instead of being accompanied by the manly looks of Two Pump will have at his side his beautiful wife Jami as well as his two dogs (whose beauty, or lack thereof, has yet to be judged). And, if that were not enough, the Twos, as tradition now dictates, are also joined by six-time Extravaganza veteran Santa Rosa cpa Tim "The Marauder" Moratto and his bride of now one year "Sally The Wardrobe", as well as by the following supporting cast of water-tried veterans: Angel "The Smile" Perez and his last-year found fishing partner Tom "Fish-O-Matic" Stallard and last, but not least, Sonoma builder Scott "The Viper" Vion.
Bring it on Twos, for, like the Ones, "To The Mo You Go"—let's see if you can match the (awesome) fish tally of the Ones (which should be not too high of a hill to climb, as the Ones didn't even sober up until well after noon and, then, were casting about for the hair of the hound that bit [each of] them)!!
Fish on!!
Best to all from the (blessed) scene of it all!
