Dignataries to Regale Extravaganza 2008!

Extravaganzers:

Not one but (count 'em) two (2) Treasure State dignitaries are going to join this year’s fray (and filming) at the now more-extravagant-than-ever (after last year’s events, who would have ever thought that moniker possible?!?) Extravaganza 2008:

During Group Two, our (count 'em!) six (6) IWFF-Extravaganza budding high school filmmakers as well as our by-then-filmed Group Twoers will have the opportunity to meet, greet, and interview, on site, not only (a) Steve Doherty, Chairman of agency charged with the solemn responsibility to manage Montana’s wildlife resources, the Montana State Fish, Wildlife and Parks Commission (that’s the top of the heap, folks!) but also (b) Tim Aldrich, newly installed president of the Montana Wildlife Federation—the 73-year-old non-profit organization that interfaces with FWP to preserve fishing and hunting access for all, statewide [into which, last Sunday, yours truly was elected its Pacific Time Zone’s non-resident director]—Tim being, as of last Thursday, as Kathy as I were blessed to be seated as his banquet table, the newest recipient of one of Montana’s most revered and respected conservation awards, The Don Aldrich Award—an award given, not routinely and annually but, rather, “whenever appropriate,” to recognize extraordinary lifetime achievements in conservation efforts and most poignantly an award given in honor of Tim’s now deceased father, Don, who spearheaded many of the today-taken-for-granted Montana programs that protect and preserve all that we see and cherish each Extravaganza summer.

Thanks, Chairman Steve and President Tim, for marking your calendars to be with us…we all look forward to treating you “extravagantly” upon your arrival(s) and to welcoming you to our rapidly expanding Extravaganza ranks!!

And, gang, against all reasonable odds and sensibilities, the Extravaganza keeps getting bigger, and bigger, and bigger…
