With this email, I am sending you the official IWFF “shoutout,” teen jargon for greetings and salutations.
(Shout-out-From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: A shout-out is a greeting or acknowledgment of a person, group, or organization of significance. It is often done as a sign of respect.)
Between Friday’s emails and Monday’s snail mail, your outpouring of financial support and generosity, both pledged and sent, to our organization was a true testament to the admiration and respect you have for your fearless and fun “leader,” Ron Clausen. Ron appealed to you and you responded in spades. We are grateful to each and every one of you beyond words and can’t wait until your next trip to Missoula when we can fete you at the Roxy Theater, International Wildlife Media Center, seat you in your permanently engraved “Extravaganza 2008” seats and treat you to some spectacular films; including Journey to the Soul on the big screen.
I think now that without question, the Moose Tile will be permanently engraved with the name Extravaganza 2008. I hope that this is only the start of a long and rewarding relationship between all of you and Montana and the International Wildlife Media Center & Film Festival. Now that this effort is complete, I will be sending each of you personal thank you notes and letters of acknowledgement for your donation. I hope you will forgive my tardiness in doing this prior to now but want you to know how very appreciative we have been every step of the way.
As a donor, you will now also be an official member of our Herd of Supporters and as such, you will be receiving our email newsletter and a video library “punch” card that entitles you to twelve free rentals from our amazing video library, EarthVision. Please feel free to visit our website and click on EarthVision Library to see a list of the hundreds of possible film rentals – there is no other library like it, anywhere in the world. For teachers, schools and academic programs, we also offer Educational Packets for many films, which include curriculum that educators can use to enhance their classroom presentation in connection with a particular film.
Again, special thanks to each of you for your generosity and support and exceptional thanks to Ron and Kathy for their incredible support, enthusiasm, love and great cuisine and hospitality and...and...and...
With Warmest Regards,
Janet
