Once again you are heroes, this time with the 72-year-old Montana Wildlife Federation where, through the power of doubling, this past Saturday evening at MWF's annual board retreat, I was proud to present MWF Executive Director Craig Sharpe with checks that will aggregate over $10,000 in Extravaganza 2008 donations to that coveted organization's general fund.
Bravo, bravo, bravo—so much so that MWF's National Issues Coordinator Ben Lamb went "on the lamb" this past Monday, and returned to the initial scene of Extravaganza 2008 (Groups One and Two, that is) and fished the Missouri River ("The Mo"). As evidenced by the attached two photos, RCR added two more twenty inchers to this year's Twenty Inch Club...What a fitting way to put an exclamation mark to and on Extravaganza 2008!!
And what are we going to do for an encore, you ask??
Visualize an Extravaganza 2009 with three, not four groups, each group fishing three days with a full day's break for your hosts in between. Group Alpha, Group Bravo and Group Charlie will span the time period of June 20th through July 6, 2009...but more of that later on a different blog!!
