Extravaganza 2008 Air Travel

As we end this year looking forward to the next, I know that some of you want to purchase your airline tickets this year and guarantee your incoming and outgoing Missoula flights at the lowest rates. SO below is the OFFICIAL EXTRAVAGANZA 2008 AIR TRAVEL SCHEDULE.

As in the past, please use these recommended flights as (a) we will be picking you up at the airport and would like to do one, not multiple, pickups for each group and (b) those in the past who have either not flown on our recommended carrier, Delta, and/or got creative by trying to reduce waiting time between flights have regretted it. {If you do feel compelled to "being creative", please keep both the incoming and outgoing flights to/fro Missoula on or as near as possible to the recommended schedule below.}

First, here are your travel dates:

Group One arrives in MSO on Friday, June 20th and leaves on Monday, June 23rd.
Group Two arrives in MSO on Tuesday, June 24th and leaves on Saturday, June 28th
Group Three arrives in MSO on Thursday, July 3rd and leaves on Monday, July 7th*
Group Four arrives in MSO on Sunday, June 29th and leaves on Wednesday, July 2nd*

*note that Group Three is actually our last group, chronologically, in 2008

Secondly, below are flight options from San Francisco (SFO), Oakland (OAK), Sacramento (SMF) and San Jose (SJO). I know that some of you will be coming from other originating locales; the key is to tie your incoming flight into Salt Lake City (SLC) to Delta flt # 3876 [that leaves SLC for MSO at 11:05 a.m.] and your outgoing flight out of SLC to Delta flt # 3765 [that arrives in SLC from MSO at 1:20 p.m.]. Also note that Delta has a very bad, consistent habit of changing flight numbers and times at random; so if the times are right but the flight numbers a bit different, "book 'em Danno".

Thirdly, here is the OFFICIAL EXTRAVAGANZA 2008 FLIGHT SCHEDULE:

If you are traveling out of OAK, leave on Delta flt # 4058 that departs OAK at 6:15 a.m., arriving in SLC at 8:58 a.m., connecting to Delta flt # 3876 that departs SLC at 11:05 a.m., arriving in MSO at 12:31 p.m. Your return flights are on Delta flt # 3765 that departs MSO at 11:40 a.m., arriving in SLC at 1:02 p.m., connecting with Delta flt # 3779 that departs SLC at 2:50 p.m., arriving in OAK at 3:54 p.m.

If you are traveling out of SFO, leave on Delta flt # 1704 that departs SFO at 6:00 a.m., arriving in SLC at 8:52 a.m., connecting to Delta flt # 3876 that departs SLC at 11:05 a.m., arriving in MSO at 12:31 p.m. Your return flights are on Delta flt # 3765 that departs MSO at 11:40 a.m., arriving in SLC at 1:02 p.m., connecting with Delta flt # 1527 that departs SLC at 1:58 p.m., arriving in SFO at 2:56 p.m.

If you are traveling out of SMF, leave on Delta flt # 784 that departs SMF at 6:10 a.m., arriving in SLC at 8:40 a.m., connecting to Delta flt # 3876 that departs SLC at 11:05 a.m., arriving in MSO at 12:31 p.m. Your return flights are on Delta flt # 3765 that departs MSO at 11:40 a.m., arriving in SLC at 1:02 p.m., connecting with Delta flt # 4015 that departs SLC at 2:50 p.m., arriving in SMF at 3:30 p.m.

If you are traveling out of SJC, leave on Delta flt # 923 that departs SJC at 6:00 a.m., arriving in SLC at 8:54 a.m., connecting to Delta flt # 3876 that departs SLC at 11:05 a.m., arriving in MSO at 12:31 p.m. Your return flights are on Delta flt # 3765 that departs MSO at 11:40 a.m., arriving in SLC at 1:02 p.m., connecting with Delta flt # 3909 that departs SLC at 3:55 p.m., arriving in SJC at 4:51 p.m.

THINGS TO NOTE:

(1) All airfares, at least as of this morning, were in the $450 +/- round trip/person price range regardless of the originating locale. Please note, however, that each of our groups will occupy almost half of the incoming/outgoing 50 seat Canadian Regional jets so (a) space is already going to be limited and (b) the longer you wait, the greater the risks of paying more for the same experience and/or not being able to get onto these flights.

(2) GROUP THREE TRAVEL ADVISORY: You are our Fourth of July group this year and you will be traveling on the peak in and out days; so GET YOUR RESERVATIONS NOW--it is a long, 1200 mile walk to Missoula!!!

(3) This year has each group back to back so there is no land coverage if you arrive a day early and/or leave a day later.

(4) When you get your itineraries please email them to adminlaw@clausenlawgroup.com so that we can put them in your file and be able to assist you with the normal Delta March changes to their flight schedules.
