Another year of Extravagant fishing rapidly approaches and I am pleased to announce the official dates for each of our four Extravaganza 2008 Groups. This past year, in Extravaganza 2007, we were blessedly and tightly nestled in between the end of the June runoff and the beginning of the hot July fishing (with our last two groups experiencing just how hot "heat hot" that can be); and so again it will be for Extravaganza 2008, thus (again) assuring us of the best rivers at the best times with the best guides, namely our great friends at the Grizzly Hackle (with whom, this past season, we put over 100 boats on the water with whom we will again do so in 2008).
Without further ado, here it is, the Official Line Up for Extravaganza 2008:
Group One travels to MSO on Friday, June 20th, fishes June 21st and 22nd, and returns home Monday, June 23rd*Note: (a) Because of the day of the week on which the Fourth of July falls this coming year and (b) because the returning members of the Fraternal Order of Group Four would only fish in a "Group Four," the sequential order (chaos?) of the groups is Group One, Two, Four, Three. Frankly, once you have your own group selected and know your travel dates this idiosyncrasy should be of no bother other than to your guides, hoteliers and hosts!
Group Two travels to MSO on Tuesday, June 24th, fishes June 25th, 26th and 27th, returning home on Saturday, June 28th
Group Three* travels to MSO on Thursday, July 3rd, fishes July 4th, 5th and 6th, returning home on Monday, July 7th
Group Four* travels to MSO on Sunday, June 29th, fishes June 30th and July 1st, returning home on Wednesday, July 2nd
Best to all!
Viva La Extravaganza!!
